1. Why do I even need a Website Care Package?

Do you have a website that requires hosting and is crucial to your business? Does it generates sales or customer leads and revenue (or at least it should). It’s a channel through which potential customers, suppliers, potential new staff and partners will find you and engage with you online. It is fundamental to the success of your business and you want peace of mind that it will be up and hosted online for your audience 24/7 without interruption and viewing as well as functioning as you intended.

2. All Software Is Vulnerable

Software needs updating. All software. Including the software that powers your website. More and more websites are getting hacked and attacked, including the big players like Twitter and Facebook as well as millions of small businesses everyday. It’s the nature of the world we live in and unfortunately websites are an easy target.

Keeping your website up to date, backed up and secure can be time consuming and frankly, a little tedious. It takes you away from what you should be doing, like building customer relationships. QUESTIONS

How do the 'Content Changes' & 'Unlimited Content Changes' work?

Content changes on each plan include content that you have ready, such as text or photos, and does not include creating new content, code, photoshopped images or designs for you.

You simply log a request via our support site http://support.weave.co.nz with clear instructions on the content you want to update or change on your website and we get straight to work and let you know when it's done - usually within 24 hrs.

Our response time for content changes is usually about 6 hours and we ask that you request one change per request.

What happens if my website goes down, is hacked, breaks, etc?

The whole purpose of our client plans is preventative care, so we work hard to prevent anything from happening. However, in the case something does happen, Weave will respond as quickly as possible to resolve the issue and keep you informed on where things are at.

We cannot promise your website will not be hacked but can promise we will do everything in our power to prevent it, as well as assist in the restoration and cleanup of the website with one of our backups.

What if I need something outside the plans?

If you have a task that is beyond what is included in your plan, we will submit a quote for you to approve separately.

However, many times we will evaluate requests that exceed your plan on a case by case basis, and with approval, work past the time and bill for time exceeded at the support rate listed on your plan.

What is your hourly rate?

When quoting new work we regularly quote fixed-rates so our clients can budget effectively.

However, in some cases we use hourly billing where tasks are small or the scope is not fully known to give our clients more flexibility to make adjustments and changes as they go.

Our standard hourly rate for development & consultation is $150/hr.

For clients on one of our plans, our rate can be as low as $100/hr.*

*Note: that this requires a minimum hourly purchase of 30 hours (don't worry, you have 12 months to use any unused time!). See Time Blocks above in the Additional Add ons section.

How does billing work?

Your Credit Card  will be charged automatically each month via our secure Stripe gateway.

Once payment is complete we send you a tax invoice  directly to your email.

Automatic billing via Credit Card keeps our admin overheads low and allows us to offer you the best price on our services.

Can I really cancel any time?

Absolutely. We are all about a relationship with you and your website, so we would hate to see you go, but we know financial needs weigh on many decisions and don’t want to lock anyone in. Request a cancellation via email to support@weave.co.nz, and we will immediately stop the next payment from occurring.

The cost for bundling all your files up to archive them to move to your own host is $350 +gst.

Premium Plugins.  Your website may have been built using premium plugins or extensions to add needed functionality to your website. Some we install using our developer license at no cost to you. Others require yearly license renewal fees per website to keep the code updated and secure. If you select not to partake in a Website Care Plan with Weave you will be billed for the renewal fees of any premium plugins used to built your website not covered by our developer license after the first year. If you select not to renew the license we cannot be responsible for any functionality or security issues this may cause in the future.

My site wasn't built by Weave, can I still be on one of your care plans?

Our care plans are designed for websites that we have designed and built. But we also welcome new and returning clients who are looking for someone to provide dedicated long-term support.

To start, we would like to do an initial Website Evaluation to familiarise ourselves with your set up. Not all developers and designers use the same tools (and not all tools are equal), so we will have to make sure that your website is set up with professional-quality themes and plugins can be updated properly.

We'll make a full backup of your site, and then do a thorough review from both the visitor side as well as the WordPress admin setup. We will make a list of technical issues that need fixing, software that needs updating, and suggestions for overall improvements in order to proceed on a monthly plan.

This initial website evaluation costs $350 +gst

What if I have more than one website?

These Care Plans are to be used on one website only.
We can certainly talk to you about a bespoke plan which covers more than one site. Please get in touch.
